Just scheduled to have shocks, struts, springs(pedders), tires, and camber kit done at the dealer(includes alignment). they think 3.5 hours should cover it? any objections. I'm looking at about $1,800 parts, labor. That includes tires. Eagle GT's.

I was going to tell you the F-1's are a better and longer lasting tire till I went to Disc. tires web site the eagles are 161 ea. and the F-1's are 237 ea. I bought mine in Nov. and paid 172 ea. and got a 80.00 rebate from them damn thats what you call tire inflation,isn't it ? Are you changing the struts & shocks cause they are bad ? If they are ok you would really like the difference the TTR upper mount makes. I got a bid from a good alignment/body shop of 500.00 just to install the springs & align so that price isn't bad from a dealer no less. Want a full report when you get back from the first test romp

Something of note: you might want to have them check the speed rating on that $291 tire. That's probably the V speed rating and ask for a price on the W rating. I had to replace one, and the part numbers were the same at that time between the two speed ratings. However the W was priced $130 less than the V.

I'm not doing the $300+ tire route again. Years ago, I put a set of Dunlops on a 300ZX Twin Turbo.....ready........$1,600! Boy did they see a sucker comming. I think I got maybe 15,000 miles out of those tires. They had such a soft compound on them that you could cut the tire with your fingernail, and a burn-out left tripping hazards on the ground-literly caked rubber!
Sorry, was trying to help if you wanted to get the MX's. I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. I won't be getting the MX's when time to replace mine. Not because of cost, just not happy with the tire.
