Sway Bar Link Question

My baby has just over 63,000 miles on her and she is in the shop for the second time getting the sway bar links replaced. The first time was at around 30,000 miles. I have been kicking around the idea of adding a rear swaybar. Hear is my question ... Will adding a rear sway bar lessen the abuse the front sway bar links take and make them last longer?? Any opinions, advise, and/or technical data on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

First off I'd upgrade to the Moog sway bar links, they seem to be the best solution in the long term to the "link-itis" suffered by HHR's. Adding a rear sway bar will have no real effect on the front suspension, but you will notice an improvement in your overall handling. The front and rear suspensions are de-coupled so while there are benefits to be gained by upgrading components and adding a sway bar out back, both should be considered independent systems.

Thanks for the information. Since they are being replaced under warranty I plan on replacing them with better ones when they go bad again. Sounds like a rear sway bar is a must do mod.

Whats more embarrassing than forgetting to zip up after going to the bathroom?

Forgetting to unzip in the first place.

Agreeing withg 843de, did the Moog replacement on the SS, what a difference!!! Although at first I had more noise than before, the RS Moog end link was defective, changed that out and everything is fine. Also sprayed the sway bar bushings with WD40 (many soakings) and my front end is very quiet, no noise at all, worth the change and investment.......
