Trim bump stop> goldline springs?

I just got my goldine lowering springs today. It says to trim the bump stops. Has anyone done this or not done this? Any bad results?

I was wondering the same thing!
I didn't cut them when I put the leveling springs on, and in a few weeks I will be puting on the lowering springs.
I have had no problems without cutting them with the leveling springs.

I trimmed mine

I did the Goldline lowering springs and I trimmed the stops. Car looks and rides much better than stock.

I don't see why you would want to trim them honestly. GM obviously wanted to limit travel to a certain point to prevent the tires or something else from contacting something it's not supposed to. I have the stock bump stops on mine, the back anyway.

Its trimmed to as not to prematurely contact the stops at the lower height....most civil driving will probably never hit them hard enough to notice, but you will see it when you get under and see the marks from contact.Trimming them allows the suspension to have more travel without contact. You won't "hit" anything your not supposed to unlesss you "slam" it.( or overlaod it, or..hit holes better suited for Hummers.)

That's a lot of 'or's lol. You should see my bumpstops, they've definitely taken a few hits.
