50's car contest
I seem to recall that was a Gene Winfield Kustom (Modesto, Ca), home of American Graffiti. Gene loved using those Appleton spotlights. In my opinion, Gene was a much better designer than George Barris. I was driving a '55 Ford Victoria with a competition rake at the time, White over Desert Rose/white Naugahyde tuck and roll interior, dragging
Fulton St. in Fresno before it was closed to traffic and became a pedestrian mall. I got to be on a first name basis with all the local LEOs!
And just like in the movie, this gringo was taken for a ride with some Chicano gang bangers!
