Sounds like you guys are having clutch master cylinder issues. We used to say that the master cylinder could be bypassing internally. I used to recommend replacing both the m/c and slave cylinder at the same time. The HHR with the slave cylinder inside the bell housing makes this a more difficult task.

Yeah I'm getting a new slave and master cylinder put in and also since I was there installing a clutch. Hope to have it back today.

 

Got it back Saturday and no more sticking clutch pedal, soft feel, and engaging close to the floor. So far so good.

 

I assume you meant "no more" above and not "more more". Mine's still good after 2 weeks now. Am waiting for it to re-appear before reacting too much.

 

I have the same problem. About how much did it cost to fix?

 

Those members haven’t been here in a while Feb 8, 2016 for the one you quoted. So their repair bills will be much different then today’s labour rates.
