I found a guide on here for switching short throw but said it was four screws only when I found no screws, just 2 visible bolts when I removed the boot.

I wasn't sure if anyone else had experience with removing stock '07 LS 5spd shifter.

I'm putting the stock SS shifter in.

 

Don't know if it will help,but there is a recent picture of 2 auto shifters in the classified section. They both appear to show 4 mounting holes. I would think the base mounts would have the same bolt pattern for auto or stick.
