Unhappy code p722

2010 HHR lt automatic trans . Car set fo a year because I could not get off stuck wheel spacer. Got them off, got brakes fixed. New problem, I have no speedster, trans does not shift right and power steering on message screen says it in trouble,
Did a scan and it shows code 722 which is output speed sens. Made sure I did not have a bad ground at tcm as was told may be the problem. Still added temp ground cleared code no help came back. Next i replaced speed sens clear code, drove car and it came back. Not sure of the next step, i know i need to trace out wire and test plug but not sure where to start. Anyone been in this boat. thanks for the help

I am guessing you meap code P0722.
Possibly rodents chewing on wires. The output speed sensor is also the vehicle speed sensor.
Code P0722 causes:
the TCM to command max line pressure
the TCM freezes trans adaptive function
screws up engine speed and commanded gear

The power steering is probably covered under the extended warranty if it is not a fuse or wire.

Actually if part of the harness for the trans is rodent chewed it will throw the power steering warning... Don't ask me how I know.
