My wife drew the line at a tire change machine and my Bear bubble balancer, they didn’t match the decor of our family room!

I am at least thankful that they use torque wrenches still. You always get roll your eye moments when you go there with some decent knowledge of how automobiles operate. They really need to update some of there policies, like when they have customers coming in for an oil change every 3000 miles, or "you can get the full synthetic for 89.99 and go up to 6000 miles!"

My aide just told me her story at the "major oil change" store. They told her there was no oil in the engine, so due to liability issues they could not change her oil. This as she was watching the grease monkey drain the oil.

And the NTB guys making a big show of having a second tech "check the torque" without loosening the nuts.

And the NTB "mechanic" that comes over and destroys the air filter housing to check my brand new filter that I noted when I went in for a tire rotation.

And the NTB tire jockey that says "just drive it around for a mile, the TPMS positions will reset ON YOUR PT CRUISER".

Oh no, you got me started!

I once watched a tech ram my lug nuts on with an impact, drop the vehicle down, use a torque wrench on ONE lug nut of ONE wheel, and brought my keys to the front desk and they told me "youre all set." I walked out and said you're all done with this one? He looks up and grunts in acknowledgement of my question. I drove home and immediately loosened and re torqued all 20 lugs.
