never had to u only find that at times some seem to shift very good not hard or funky just more firm , i just did a 011 motor and trans into a 09 and its a rocket 2.2 never had to flash any of them they just work ,,,,,

OK, so it would hurt something to update the TCM, and that would cause the transmission to not work? There are no differences in the programs loaded on the TCM, they ALL have the same shift point tables and the shop manual should just be thrown away; after all who needs a perfectly working trans when they could have a TCM tuned for a different torque output.
