Hey y'all, first post cause I can can't find the answer anywhere else. I've damaged the shifter on my 06 2.4L LT. I found a similar shifter identical from the looks and I presume is identical to the damaged one installed from the factory. The one I'm leaning toward getting is from a 2.2L LS version. My question is would there be any mismatched components within the shifter that would cause an issue during and after the swap?

Welcome to the site! Both engines used the same transmission, and shifter, some cosmetic differences over the years but same connections.

 

A shifter for 2009 onward would be an upgrade to a leatherette boot. And does fit. I am assuming this is an automatic.
