I THINK someone stated that it also calculates and averages in the last 10-15 miles.

I never check for mileage I just love the HHR at my age who cares. about gas mileage.

I don't want to track mileage as a hobby. I want to keep an eye on it as more of an indicator of overall performance and to possibly identify a problem before it gets out of hand.

Im retired for 13 1/2 years I live on SSI and I will be 80 years old in 6 weeks so not everyone in Calif. is rich as my ex wife took all the money, but I enjoy my HHR I drive about 5000 miles a year just had to respond the the comment that everyone in Calif. is rich.

Pretty much what I do. If I see mileage starting to drop it tells me it's time to start looking ar a few things.
