07 Chevy Hhr LT Repair Question
Does anyone know anything about the 07 Chevy Hhr LT model? I have a question about it, for the past week I have been noticing a vibration and shimmers and shakes coming from the front of the car. It does this when I'm driving and it also causes the steering wheel to vibrate and I don't know what could be causing this issue.
I have been told it could be the ball joint or wheel bearings or warped rotors or just need a wheel alignment. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure this out. Also when I'm driving I can hear a ticking sound coming from the tires.

Hi Chevyguy, to the forums!!
Have a read through this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...g-pop-s-50648/
Some history would help. How many miles, any work that's been done, any damage, potholes or road debris hit.

It has almost 122,000 miles on it, no damage as far as I know. I know that I just recently replaced my front brakes, then I started noticing that when ever I'm driving at normal speed, I start getting a vibration in the front of the car.
I can even feel it in the steering wheel, cause it makes the steering wheel shake and then it makes a ticking sound like it coming from the tires. I don't know what it could be cause mostly the roads I drive on is smooth. I've heard and read many different things that it could be, anywhere from wheel alignment to warped rotors to bad ball joints.

wheel balance? Large spike in tire? Stone in tread?
My favorite, since you don't seem to know anything about cars, cracked flex pipe. We have heard this description before.
I don't know why I would need to know anything about a 2007 HHR LT, but many here do, to diagnose the problem, any competent repair shop could.

You say it started just after the brakes were worked on, which would kinda rule out a previously exiting problem such as worn bushings/hubs/ball joints. However at that mileage they are well worthwhile checking as they are likely getting near end-of-life.
Add to the list: the front tires themselves, improperly installed wheels after the brake work, improperly installed brakes.

All the other suggestions are good, I especially like donbrew's wheel balance idea. A wheel weight may have come off. I got a bad vibration once after I drove through some mud. I washed the mud off, no more vibration!
Here's a tip: When speaking into your phone, you can say "comma" and "period" and "question mark" in the appropriate places. Your phone will insert the punctuation for you. People who are reading what you are sending, will have a much easier time understanding you.

If it’s shaking at highway speeds when you just lift off the throttle and coast a bit it could be way different problem.
Did you clean and adjust the rear brakes.
Torque the lug nuts to 100 ft lbs
Clean the new rotors.
Were the old rotors turned in the car or in a brake lathe
A lot of questions could solve the problem
Like when you replaced the front brakes do you mean new pads or new pads and rotors?
