The 16 inch FS Affinity tires

Ok I know that this has been discussed alot, and most people think that firestone tires are crap. But, I have to say I like my 16 inch Affinity's, They are very quiet and handle nicely, and seem to be wearing good. I have'nt driven them in snow yet, and that could change my view ALOT! I'm a big fan of coopers for cars, and BF's for trucks, and would never buy FStones. But so far, I'm pleased with these, and might consider them again.
What do you 16 inch tire owners think?

I've got the same tires on my 06 and love them...and I have driven them in the snow and they work great for me. Gonna keep these on until I need new ones...which should be quite a while yet. Only have about 16,000 on my 06 HHR that I bought new...so if anything they will get dry rot before I wear them out.

I will be putting about 2000 miles on them over the next few days though...going to the Kicks on Route 66 run in Tulsa.

They seem like keepers to me.

I'm dreading the day when I replace them with the $200+ Michelins. Hopefully I have a few years to save up.

Most of the complaining I've seen is the GTA03s on the 2LTs. Not as many people complain about the Affinity tires on the 1LTs.

I lost my first Affinity the first week I had the car and the replacement Yoko T4 was garbage. Replaced the last two a month ago after 54,000 miles. They seemed to run well on dry or snow-packed pavement, but any moisture or ice and they'd slip like a cheap set of Daytons.

The Affinity tires that are on the HHR are far superior to the Affinity tires that were on my 2001 and 2003 Malibus.

I already lost one of my Affinity tires this past winter due to a pothole causing a bulge in the sidewall.

I now have a pair of Uniroyal Tigerpaws on the front and a pair of the Affinity on the back, with a spare Affinity in the shed.

The stock 16" tires sucks balls. I have almost rearended I don't know how many people becasue the car won't stop in snow or the rain becasue of them. I can't wait to rip them off and throw them away.
