And it started 6 months ago? I started to read the initial post here an hour or so ago - and thought this one isn't going to end well.
About all I can suggest is to take it to a dealer to let them work on it. Not being a mechanic, nor mechanically minded probably won't get you anywhere trying to fix it over the internet. I'm guessing you probably don't have an OBDII code reader, which will probably be needed to even start the diagnostics.
And that "mechanic" that started cutting wires - best to never darken his door again.

I will start with:
Has the ignition switch recall been done?
Did the BCM get replaced?
Even after the battery changing the horn and lights?
What battery installation problems?
Exactly how did you incorrectly hook up the first jump? Any chance either end of the cables touched something else under the hood? Any sparks?
Can you remove the key?
I am taking a flying guess that you messed the alternator or it's wiring up. You now have a dead used battery.
Looking at the circuit diagrams for the BCM connectors, the only dk blu/wht wire is the courtesy lights. I have absolutely no idea what the guy was doing in there.

I put pos cable on bottom terminal assuming top post at under hood fuse box was negative; ive since learned it is not. Yes had some sparking.
BCM has not been changed
the key is currently not getting stuck in ignition.

It is hard to tell what got zapped. Most people are luck and only blow the PS fuse. Some have had to replace the BCM.
Make sure the 2 wires on the front connection on the fuse box are connected good.
Some cars have a fusible link between the starter and the alternator. I would check for 12V on both ends of that wire (the large wire on the starter and the large wire on the alternator).
