Just back from a road trip prompted by the wedding of an old friend, and the HHR continues to impress! After covering six states and 1,500 miles in 48 hours, this critter is one great long haul vehicle. Mileage held steady at 32.5 even with a heavy right foot, and cruising at 80 most of the way. Tomorrow the wee beastie has earned itself a nice wash and detail...and an oil change. I think the Corvairs are becoming jealous...and they are cranky enough.

Cool. Before I bought my HHR last month, I had driven from Chicagoland to Texas twice in the past year, first for vacation and then for a family wedding, and didn't want to take another road trip for a LONG time, but now I'm considering visiting my brother in Wyoming (1,200 miles) this fall, just to take the HHR on the road!

I just got back from a 7 state trip to North Carolina. Outside of Birmingham AL I saw a blue corvair station wagon for the first time in my life.
