air conditioner blows 40deg

Question air conditioner blows 40deg

air blows 40deg but only on recirculate setting ,blows hot on outside air position is there a separate fuse ? 2009 hhr ss terry

Answer is : no.

I can't think of a condition that would cause that, assuming the temp control is turned all the way cold and the mode switch is on vents and the AC button has been pushed and is lit.

What I am suggesting is that the car is new to you and you have not read the Owner Manual. The climate control section starts on page 3-21.

Thanks to all who responded, air worked fine for 2yrs. i've had it ,this spring now have his problem ,it,s hot here in scottsdale az. I,m doing everything[ settings] same as always hoping for something simple that i could blame wife for, will keep looking. Terry

How do? Not pushed to activate the A/C? Or not turned to the left to coldest setting?

REPLACED was not activating outside air, worked fine in OCTOBER, wouldn't work on some 90deg. days we had in march , crazy about my HHR. terry
