If you put it in the car I would set up a NC relay so that that key on no power or some other switch.
The sketch is just a framework add and subtract with gay abandon!

 

If you put in this glovebox alarm then are you going to leave the car unlocked all the time ?

 

As mentioned before, "some people" who shall remain nameless because I don't like sleeping on the couch, forget to lock the doors. I still would prefer the doors locked as there are other things in there that would be disappointing if they disappeared.I use it for Storm Spotting and other activities so it does have one of my radios installed, And I spent a lot of time and money getting it to work as well as it does, I'd hate for it to disappear.
