My car came with the ashtray/lighter option. The ashtray was not in the car when it was delivered, but the dealer just gave me one from another HHR. Is there supposed to be any plate or anything under it? It has an indent at the bottom of it, but there is nothing in the standard cup holder for it to lock into, so it can just spin around. (I won't let anyone smoke in the car, but it is good for holding small parts.)

 

Nope, you got the ash tray. It just sits in the cup holder.

 

All Canadian HHRs come with the smokers package. Mine is sitting in my house, never to be used again.

 

When my salesman called me to tell me it was there and would be ready ready for me to pick it up in an hour or so he said that for some reason it didn't come with the ashtray, I really didn't care but right when he called me I remembered I didn't want the front liscense plate brackets installed and they were finishing it up that second so we hung up the phone and he had to sprint over there and he said he barely caught them in time. So I let him keep the ashtray for his trouble :)

 

Mine's filled with spare change, I didn't order it but I got the lighter and the ashtray, I thought the lighter might be standard, but the ash tray must have been a gift from Jose!

 

Yeah I do not think its right that only with the smokers package that you get the lighter. Its no big deal to me becasue I keep my cell phone charger in there most of the time anyways.

 

I got a lighter with no ashtray, yet never even ordered a smoker's package. Guess I should take up smoking again. NOT!
