I tried searching but found nothing pertaining to this. My rear wiper switch won't work in the on position, but will work in the intermittent position. If I press the switch firmly and hold it, it will work. My question is how to remove the plastic panel where the switch is located, I don't want to just start prying and break something. Is this a common switch failure? Thanks all.

 

Stick your fingers in the A/C vents and yank. The switch is a push into fingers kind of thing. Just be careful of the fingers breaking.

I haven't heard of one failing but it is a mechanical switch.
