[QUOTE=dennisgu;168877]I just purchased a new 2007 LT 2.4 on Friday. The other day while poking around in the storage compartment for the spare tire, I discovered another battery. I can't find anything about it in the manual. Anyone know what this is for?

That's funny, but I might have wondered the same thing too if the saleman hadn't shown us how the cover in the back could be moved up and located at another level. When he did that, there was the battery!

I'm right there with you, CH - 20 months with my DSM and I have yet to check the fuses, despite the several repeated (and now monotonous) advisories telling us: CHECK YOUR FUSES!!! Preventive maintenance is one thing, but going out and doing every little thing others are "advising" is another. I haven't had any problems with my HHR as of yet.

I did check my fuses once, but that was because I was having other difficulties. None were loose, though.

Sounds like it had the dark tinted windows too..

I checked my fuses when I was poking around looking to see where things were. And yes, they were loose. But just because they weren't seated all the way doesn't mean they wouldn't have made contact. I mean look at the size of the blades on those things. The reduction in the contact area because thet weren't fully seated was minimal. I was more concerned with them working their way out (not really) but some of the relays were really loose and could have been a problem. Bottom line - it doesn't hurt.

The fuse makes contact on the sides, not the bottom of the holder. It would take a lot for one to fall out. The spring pressure is pretty good on those.
