Bent wheel this afternoon

Thanks for all the input guy's, much appreciated....I'm gonna try to see if the county might pay for damage but I highly doubt it...have a high ins. deductable, think I'll probably have to live with it until maybe I can get a used OEM replacement.
SS fan, if you come across the post where one OEM wheel may have been available I'd definately appreciate you posting that info.

It's for sure a steel rim, I've straightened steel wheels before but I've decided to leave this one alone, you have to look pretty close to see the damage.
It will look a lot worse if the chrome wrinkles up after an attempted repair.
Thanks for your input sleeper.

Mine are definately the chrome clad steel wheels....it is definately my nature "to fix" any and everything....however as difficult as it is for me not to attempt a repair, with the damage not so noticable, I'm going to pass on an attempted repair as I'm sure it will look much worse afterward...I would be interested in a replacement wheel....if anyone comes across one, I'd really appreciate the information...thanks again for everyones input.
So, your not even gonna try and get the village, county, state to repair your car? At least give it a Try.
Took me nothing more than to bring it to their attention, they asked me to take it to a shop they deal with, but I declined and took it to the bodyshop of My choice. The shop may find underbody damage your unaware of and the need for a front end alignment, that you won't see until your tire/tires start wearing oddly.
The work was done and the shop billed the Village.
They Paid it 100%, Done.
It was pretty easy and painless to do. Why should you be stuck with fixing it yourself? Or living with it damaged.
At least go Ask, they can't slap ya silly for that.

Just thought I'd give you all an update...I sent a lengthy and professional letter to the state of Missouri in regard to the damage to my HHR...they denied my claim, as they had a "bump" sign posted (right before you cross the void in the roadway)...the sign should have read "danger-tire busting ditch ahead", as I did see a couple of cars with flat tires that hit the same thing I did.
