Question Black front pad

Has anyone painted the black part of the front bumper cover? IF so how did you prep, got hit while parked Friday night , so I thought might color match the pad.

I have also thought about doing the same thing to mine, i know being plastic you will need flexible primer. not sure on the prep though or exactly what all you will need to do it.

Personally, I would add "Flex-agent" to primer, base color & clear coat.

i sanded mine with 80 grit cleaned it with wax/ grease remover and primed it with urethane 2k then blocked it like you would anything else. my opinion is that you wont need flex agent. i twisted mine after a few coats of primer and it didnt crack. this part shouldnt see much flex unless it gets hit again.
