Alabama has the "lights on when raining" law as well. Some of the heavy thunderstorms we get here make other vehicles hard to see without lights.

I noticed it after discussing it with someone.. It may be in the manual but I do not find it in any settings.. They turn on anytime the wipers are on or on any delay setting. At least mine do. But my map light does not come on like the 07 models when you turn the dimmer.

Other car oddities

These blinker and wiper discussions remind me of some of the stuff I dealt with when I rented an Italian Car and some of my other experiences driving in Italy. Sorry if its a little off topic.

I have noticed that the delay wipers go to the next faster setting at about 50mph.

I just rented 2 HHR's and they had the tick tock signal noise...should they not have?

I experienced the wiper thing going full on at 50 mph(neat).at least you can turn them back to intermittent by turning the dial down..don't always need full wipers above 50

The turn signals have the tick tock with the OEM radios.

How old do you have to be to become a "OLD FART" .
