Cabin Air filter

Just changed out the orginal and it was really dirty. The car is 2 years old this month and has not lived in a dusty area. It was dark gray with dirt and dust. $ 12 well spent and very easy to install. Access in glovebox.

Awesome, I did not know these things had that. I will be checking it out tonight. Can we get replacements from local auto parts stores or is it still dealer only?? Do i need any tools? I do not have the car avalible to check it out.

Remember the original was an activated characoal impregnated filter and naturally a gray/black in appearance. I replaced mine at 30K with one from Auto Zone and it was the easiest replacement I've seen. My last car (Buick Regal) had to have the front cowel removed to get at the filter and the dealer charged ~$40 for the job.

X2 on the gray/black in appearance, I was thinking the same when I changed my filter back at 30K. then looked at the wifes at 2K and was the same color as my old one. The found out it was characoal impregnated

That was one of the first things I did when I bought mine which was 3 years old. Not as bad as my dad's 2001 Tahoe that he did at the same time, but bad enough it should be done!
