fly wheel looks dry, can't figure out from where too much grease inside...

So does it mean each year and even engine have their own starter model??? I thought it should be the same - isn't it?

does it mean that I should replace the oil pressure switch? Cz all the engine underneath is dirty with oil. How does it look and where is it located? Is it expensive?

They probably are the same. Why not get a new/rebuilt one from a store that can tell? On eBay you only save $3 used.

If it is leaking change it about $10, just above the starter.

on eBay the new starter is $31, on a junk yard next to me is $27 but not the same year - nobody knows will it fit or won't. Brushes on eBay is $15.

Refurbished starter next to me is $60 smth.

Probably will take off on the junk yard. I hope it should be the same.

It means I used 2 stroke motocross motorcycles with no starters. Was working with trucks as an entry level tech. I didn't tell I'm extra class mechanic - right?

Used motors are used. Your old one was used. See anything in common?
Changing brushes went out in 1960, this is the 21st century.

the reason - I cleaned whole starter and at the end started to clean that lid with brushes - to replace new brushes now for me - just 1 minute(just 2 small bolts).
I believe almost all those refurbished starters have replaced brushes. But probably nobody will sell just the brushes.
