Car show blues...
Hope this is in the right area to post! Our local Autozone across from my apartment had a small (42 cars or so) car show yesterday. Nothing specified as to it being a classic show or not. Headed over at 10am for registration (bonus it was free). Car show goes on. Quite a few people looking at the HHR! Woohoo! I am parked between a drag only 1970's Charger and a 1965 Mustang convertible. After an hour I notice I had the only car in the show that wasn't older than I am. Pre 1980's cars. Other than the HHR there was a late 70' Corvette. So needless to say I felt out of place. When it came time to judge the show the judges make their rounds. The stop and check out the 'stang, the walk right past the HHR and to the Charger! No glances, no talk, just walked by like I wasnt there! A slight bit steamed I just sit and say nothing. I wasn't there to win anything. Just to hang out, see some cars, and show off mine. Only one mention of the car being lowered and a couple jealous PT Owners comparing dimensions inside and out. All in all a fun day but still a bit steamed about the walk by! Have pics up soon!

You should know by now...any car with a parachute will win at an Auto Zone car show. Parachutes do it. Parachute - say it! (Pa-ra-chute!) Now go get a parachute and tack it on the back of your HHR...
(Let a bunch of air out of the tires too - for effect!)

Too bad about the car show, the HHR's do show well. At least you have car show's to attend. Here in central Florida it seems all the car shows are Ford specific or sport compact (ricer type) cars. Eckler's Corvettes do have their annual Vett show, but that doesn't do me any good with the HHR. For some reason we don't have much for other car shows. There used to be more here but they seemed to vanish.
