But this is more decorative..
You can have it to match your vehicle color..
What would white look like..
Or real black... or Silver, or red..

or just have some imagery added, or adverstisement

Heres where I got mine at.. you don't have to use them , but just a reference whats available.. remember you heard it from me... (credit)

How's the install on difficulty level? Wouldn't mind a true black on mine.

iF you've done window tint before.. very similar..
for an average Joe or Josephine I would say shouldn't attempt it.

Large side windows and back window... (2) people required..

You could always raise the OEM cover up to the upper mounts...

That's the cheapest solution.

Cheapest but not practical. The area under the OEM cover will most likely have stuff in the well, so the OEM cover will keep that stuff from being crushed, damaged, etc.

I'll probably just go to a wrecking yard and find an HHR that has had a bad nosejob and get one that way to place in the upper mounts.

That is what I am planning on doing. GM wants around $180.00 or somewhere around there.

The HHR comes with a hard plastic one, but I'm thinking of one along the lines of what some station wagons come with. It looks like a blind that you pull over the cargo area to keep prying eyes from taking a look at the stuff you have in the back.
dang though it using it for something else to keep people from seeing ha ha

Punky has limo tint all around the back. Unless the cabin light is on, there's absolutely no seeing into the back. Flashlights up against the back windows simply reflect the light right back.

It would be an interesting experiment to see if one of those pull shade type covers would fit from a different car. Attaching to the holes in the HHRs interior sides. I'm thinking maybe one of those covers from a 1984 Dodge Charger or Plymouth Turismo.
