Carseat recommendations?

Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while. I've been a little busy with my now 8 month old daughter.

She's moving into the height/weight where she's outgrowing her infant carseat. I'm looking into the convertible carseats (rear facing/forward facing/booster), but I'm having a bit of a problem.

My wife owns a Mazda 3, and while most carseats will fit my HHR with no problems, they won't fit into hers.

Anyone been in a similar situation? We'd like to find one carseat that can fit both cars with very little trouble. Open to suggestions . . . .

We have had an Evenflo that my now 2.5 yr old has been in for over a year and she could ride in it for a while longer, but my 6 month old may graduate into it soon. We will buy the 2.5 year old a new one. It has fit great in the hhr and it even fit in my fiance's former chevy aveo.

X2 for Graco.

I have three children and we have always used graco car seats. They make many different styles and sizes so just shop around and you will find one that fits the Mazda. Also Graco is consistantly raked the top or near the top for car seat safety.

We made the mistake of not returning an Eddie Bauer edition that was given to us as a gift. It cost about 3 times as much as any of our graco's and looked really nice, but the kids were never comfortable in it which is really important if you drive anywhere more than a few miles away.

Just my .02

X3 for Gracco. I guess girls with Mazda 3's have a thing for guys with HHR's

Here's the carseat we use and it fits in both of our cars just fine. We got it because its one of the convertible seats that can be changed to fit a newborn through a 100 lbs toddler.
Hope this helps
