2007 Panel LT 2.4 ,5 speed. Almost every option. 14K miles. I could not be more pleased. Only thing that happened was a broken shifter knob. I love the mileage, performance, etc. I use it for my business. It gets more attention than my '67 Camaro RS/SS ragtop. Love it!

2007 LT2 Auto 2.4L Leather, Sunroof, running boards. 13,500 miles.

I have had it in the shop 3x for warped rotors. They insisted on turning them twice, and now are replacing the rotors, pads, backing plates. My un-scientific poll indicates that around 44% have had rotor issues. That should be a recall in my opinion. I have spent a lot of time back and forth with the dealer on this one issue. Rear drums also squeak. Very unhappy with the brakes.

Also, the factory Firestone tires are crap. They are horrible in snow and they hydroplane very easily in rain. I plan on replacing them soon.

Those are two big items where GM dropped the ball. Aside from that, I like the car, and am happy with the gas mileage of 25 city/ 32 hwy.

I know that the OEM tire's are not top of the line, I just can't seem to get the "horrible in snow" when I don't see anywhere on the tire that it states ALL weather or snow tire. Also "hydroplane very easily in rain" I live in central FL. and IT RAINS here often. It's call driving for the road & weather conditions...

As MWG2 rather bluntly pointed out to me in a recent reply, it seems the 2LT's w/ 17" wheels have Firestone Firehawk as OE tire, whereas the 1LT's w/ 16" wheels, and presumably LS's with 16" wheels have Firestone Affinity as OE.

It seems as though we 16 incher folks got a better OE tire, from hearing all the complaints on the Firehawks from 17 inchers. Because I know the Affinity's on my 1LT did an acceptable job in recent Indiana snow, as well as regular wet/rain traction.

The latest results have been posted.

The 2006 HHR appears to have an average repair rate, while the 2007 is probably better than average--second year and all that.

I'd like a more conclusive result for the 2007, but that result is asterisked for a small sample size.

I'd like to get rid of that asterisk, and include additional model years. Need owners' help to do this.

Consumer Reports lists the overall quality and reliability of the 06 HHR as average or slightly below in some areas. For the 07 the ratings rise to at least average, and in most cases above average. The 08 is not included in their recent Car Buyers Guide. The HHR overall is given a Consumer Reports Recommended Buy for it's category.

CR's methods are iffy. And they're slow. They won't have results on any 2008s until October. I've had results for one 2008 since November, and for a few others since February.

The only reason I don't have a result for the 2008 HHR is that too few owners are signed up.

My main critique of CR:

Current counts:

2006: 58
2007: 34
2008: 22

Need more, especially of the 2007s and 2008s.
