A couple of years ago I had an officer comment that VA had just recently made my laptop mount and GPS units on the windshield legal. He was looking for things to charge me with beyond the speeding.

 

appreciate responses--I'm looking at one on ebay with a rear view mirror mount--it has a choice of long or short adapter--that is great, except it doesn't say why 2 diff. lengths. u can't believe the way the young ladies drive on 99 or central valley roads--speed limit may be 55 with road construction & lots of trucks & they must be doing 85-90 in their lexus or bmw on the phone or texting--I guess they are just better drivers then me--anyway I'm looking at a 1080p for day or night recording. by the way =hard to believe, but this is my 3rd SS & I have personalized plates R HHRSS== someday I may learn how to attach a picture on my messages

I have the Mini 0801 Dash Cam. It's mounted up top just behind the rear view mirror. Small footprint and works great. I've had this one for about a year in my old car and now my SS
