What a horror story - I guess the dealer is so busy they don't mind losing some customers...

What a joke.

Something that worked for my wife several years ago........get in an area where there are lots of customers. Demand to see the owner of the dealership and state (without yelling) that the service department made a mess of your car, and you are NOT leaving until the dealership owner meets with you to discuss repairs. It worked for my wife. In her case they bought the car back and offered a huge deal on a brand new car. When arguing, argue politely, without direct threats. You attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

Take photos, as well. Whenever somebody does something like that, I always take photos (in case it ends up in small claims court or something.)

Wish I could do that, but I'm afraid I will start to cry. And that is just too embarrassing.

Unhappy

I called the Chevy Customer Assistance Center this afternoon. The first person took a report and then transferred me to another representative. The second representative talked with me and took another report and then called the service manager, who told her the he thought that he had fixed the problem and that we had left happy. He also told her that we looked at the car in the garage and then he took it outside and we looked at it again. We never saw the inside of their garage and we were using pieces of paper to try and block the sun as we looked at the car, and I told him then that I did not think that the car was clean. Now I have to make another appointment to bring the car in and let them try to cleaned it again. I tried to get the representative to make arrangements so I could get a loaner car, but no luck, so the car gets to go back to the shop and we are down one car for the forth day. What a pain. The phone call took almost an hour, between giving them my information and being put on hold while they talked with the dealer’s service manager, but they were pleasant and thorough. Too bad I don’t feel that anything was accomplished.

Thanks for the support and suggestions, I will post after our next appointment.
