ok here is the latest, I called gm with the vin number, they called the dealership and found out yes it was purchesed as a fleet and then the fleet canceled the order so then they turn it into one they could sale to public, thats why there is no ap3 code cause there is no auto start on those fleet.. Gm said it should have stated somplace on the sales contact that it was orig. a fleet but they said that the dealer could have coded it in the contract and thats how my parents did not know. Gm said there realy is nothing you can do about it, but that the dealer should try to work with parents to make them happy, but then thats why they send out dealer surveys. Thanks for all your inputs it was a learning lesson I guess. Now I think its time to move on and be happy with our HHR's.

Guess you answered your own question, YES!!! Has he thought of contacting the BBB on this dealership? The dealership still hasn't told you/them the truth if you had to contact GM direct to find out this vehicle was meant for the rental fleet.

OMG, that's criminal.

I just bought a 2007 LS with auto and remote start.

My price: $15,100

That includes desitination charge. Add about $400 in taxes and fees (low taxes because I traded in my Tiburon), and my price OUT THE DOOR was $15,614.

BUT, I went in very well educated. I got a quote online before I even stepped foot in the dealer. I knew all the options and all the prices and when I went in to buy I pulled out my laptop and went through everything line by line on my computer (I prepared a pricing spreadsheet beforehand).

I think your dad got taken.
