The only contact I've had since I took delivery 8 weeks ago was a memorandum title mailed to me and and that GM dealer survey. Onstar sent me something, trying to sell me more stuff, and someone from GM corporate with an accent I couldn't identify called me with a response survey.
Other than that, the salesman never called. Every time I've bought a new car in the past, the salesman called me in about a week to see how I was enjoying my new car. Not this guy.
It makes me wonder, since I'll have to deal with their service department someday.
FYI: puchased '08 SS at Classic Chevrolet in Mentor, OH.

Just convey all that in the survey. Ive not been convinced otherwise but I think the surveys dont really mean a thing. I had a horrible experience at my local dealer when in for service and never got a call from anyone.
My dealer (Classic in Grapevine) has gone way above and beyond the call in after sale contact. So far, I've talked to 3 different sales managers, the financing manager and one of the gm's. I've done 3 different polls for them. They've sent me a goodie bag containing the usual assortment of pens pencils and notepads, along with a tire gauge and a flashlight/laser pointer combo. I've received coupons for several free lube/oil changes. And yesterday, I got a Saturday delivery from FedEx, opened the box and it was a tin of chocolate chip cookies from some bakery in Valdosta, GA, with a letter from the owner of the dealership.
I think it's pretty safe to say I will use them again!

Being a technician working at a Chevy dealership I can tell you that those surveys are sink or swim in most cases. GM gets those in and if you are not COMPLETELY SATISFIED, the salesman, service advisor, all managers and even the cashier have failed. No questions asked. It's called our CSI score. GM hands out money to dealership on a quarterly basis for good scores (among other things). The dealership ussually doesnt want to leave the money (abour 40K a quarter) on the table. Jeff, I'd be on the phone with your sales guy first thing tomorrow morning and let him know how you feel. That's BS.
Yeah, mine keeps contacting me saying I owe more money. Twice now, just this last Friday saying they underestimated the DMV fees. It's been two months, can they still do that?
They also told me, they no longer have my salesman there anymore and assigned me some new guy. Whatever.
