extra accessory bracket

Im trying to add a second alternator in my HHR WITHOUT losing the AC, anyone have any suggestions? I know its tight in there, not sure if there is enough space inbetween the radiator or not.

Boy spudnugget, I'm thinking that your main concern might be fabbing up some kind of bracket to hold a second alternator rather than clearance with the radiator. Just looking at the accessory end of the L61, it would seem to be an interesting prospect to say the least. What are you trying to power, accessory lights, monster amps, a small town? Maybe a better idea would be to find an uprated alternator that would fit in place of the stock unit.

a small town lol... 15000 watts, 9 16v batteries actually. The issue is I want a 2nd alt to run my 16 volt system I use for my stereo

it looks like right above the stock might work, but the belt wrapping would get interesting

Well you might be able to cobble something up using some parts from the supercharged LSJ Ecotec like the accessory drive. But the bracket will have to be a custom fab job by the looks of it. Maybe someone here knows of a bracket that might be made to work.

Interesting idea, I'm not into stereo stuff so I have not researched but most people either have their brackets modified (i.e. Welded) for another alternator or use exsisting bolt holes and a turnbuckle to brace it up.
