My 2009 HHR FlexLT will not shift out of PARK.
Doors closed, Seatbelt on.
Engine running.
Push the button on selector you can hear a click coming from the dash.
Service Air bag light on.
Change oil light on.
Check engine light on.
I do not own a Tech II meter.

Yes
Crawled under the dash and pushed the brake pedal , could not hear a click from the switch.
It has 3 wires. How can I check it before taking it out and changing the alignment ?

Do your brake lights work? I would ask about cruise control, but it's stuck in park...

Can you get up there and press the switch, see if you hear the click?

09, I think it's a pedal position sensor, not the regular switch.

Its a rotating switch that has forks that go around a post on the pedal bar.

Yes, that's the pedal position sensor.
