fog lamps
My 2009 LS Panel does not have the wiring for the fogs where the fogs install.
However the wiring is there behind the radio panel.
I installed the correct panel and fog switch along with new fogs.
I was thinking I could go the the junkyard and remove the factory harness which I assume would go from the fuse block area to the fogs and install the harness on my truck.
Has anyone done this?

Just a thought.....
Might it be a possible to just wire them direct to the battery with an inline fuse if you cannot get all the factory stuff ? I would look at the Satellite battery posts under the hood as a possible hook up location.

If you are doing a "factory" install you will need to have the BCM programmed. And wire it to a relay & fuse in the under hood fuse box.
You can wire it up with relays to work legally and safely, see the how-to section, there is at least one method.

Ihave used a different method due to the current draw on some driving lights. I would run a fused lead from the battery to a relay, it has been a long time but as I remember I used a Chrysler starter relay, and from the relay to the lights. My interior switch would just activate the relay and is just a very low current into the dash.

Somewhere on this site is a thread that has detailed wiring to make the fogs work safely and legally (off when hi beams are on). Basically a relay opens when hi beams go on so no energizer to the relay that turns the fogs on. Thus saving the BCM programming charge.

Low and High beam should not be affected.
Get a Switch with a visible ON indicator so you won't forget to shut them off.
Considerate it as an Accessary.
I like to keep things Simple unless it's harder the then doing it the Correct Way .....

silverfox thanks for reminding me I forgot the switch power source, I tapped in to the wire for the low beam. It has been 35 years since I installed one of these. Old age must be catching up with me.
