correct and it has me baffled as well. I know the fuel tanks ( especially on newer cars, the fuel pump and sender sits into a "baffle" so the sender really doesnt move much since the fuel is regulated by precise openings so it takes a bit of time for the fuel to rise/lower which I assume one refered to as buffering, its just a controled flow. I am going to take a peek under in a bit here and see if anything is loose or whatever. I filled up this morning and it only took 10 gallons so it was very conservative on gas as I filled up before leaving... amazing !
Now lets see if I can find anything under the car.

Perhaps something loose on the instrument panel, or between the IP and BCM.

Nothing loose or damaged, actually everything looks really good, like this car was kept in a garage. Underside is immaculant for the most part, very clean.

If you look at the photos for the fuel pump, the float for the fuel gauge sending unit is outside of the baffle to prevent the fuel pump from cavitation from any fuel slosh in the tank.
Yes it looks very clean under there but how’s about the connector for the fuel pump?

wasnt able to reach it on the gravel, going to try and set a time with my son n law to throw it up on the rack and go over everything on the underside. I am hoping to get a car lift installed in my garage, debating which one to get.
