Goodyear tires

I had Comforttreds on my Matrix...while they were pretty quiet and smooth they were also sort of squirrely on the highway and around corners at speed...I replaced with Michelin Exaltos... pricier but worth it. The Matrix had a better suspension so I drove it a little more sportier and the Exalto's were great..
I'm thinking of replacing the Affinitys with about 27K on them. Getting a bit noisy..not rotating them probably doesn't help...well once at 9k but I digress...
Maybe Triple Treds, HydroEdges or the Goodyear Response

Got this from TireRack.com .The Assurance is Goodyear's mid-tier Passenger All-Season tire designed for the drivers of cars, coupes, vans and crossover vehicles looking for dependable tires at affordable prices with wet traction as one of their top priorities. The Assurance is designed to provide year-round confidence in wet, dry and wintry weather conditions, including in light snow.
The Assurance molds an all-season compound into a tread design featuring distinct zones. Inboard and outboard Dry Tread Zones feature strong shoulder blocks to enhance handling in dry conditions, while a central Wet Tread Zone features Dual Aquachannel grooves that evacuate water to promote traction in wet weather. A virtually continuous notched center rib combined with circumferential shoulder grooves blend dry road stability and even treadwear with traction in snowy conditions. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts (H-speed rated sizes are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon belt edge strips) on top of a polyester carcass that enhances ride quality.

Comfortread= Smooth comfy quiet, but a bit squirley,80k tread life.
Tripletread= Same as Comfortread, but better in the rain, and better responsiveness,80k tread life.
Responsedge= Fantastic handling, good wet weather traction, quiet ride, a little stiffer than the Tripletread because of the carbon fiber outer sidewall,50k treadlife.
Eagle F1 A/S= (My personal Favorite)Maximum wet and dry grip, very quiet, but a little stiffer than the Responsedge because of dual carbon fiber sidewalls,50k treadlife
I've used all four of these and the last is my Favorite because I like the maximum grip.
Hope this helps.
