Were heated rear view mirrors ever offered on the HHR?

Has anyone had any success in retrofitting heated mirrors on an HHR?

I think its stupid to offer a heated rear window on a vehicle and NOT provide heated rear view mirrors as part of that package. Just stupid!

I don't believe that was ever offered. Someone here did retrofit them, see the link below. Stupid? Maybe. Just like there is no reason not offer all 4 power windows with auto up and down on all their cars. VW does it. Why can't GM? Heated mirrors are nice when it's snowing and icy, or foggy.

No, heated mirrors were never an option on any HHR.

I installed aftermarket heating elements on my HHR and wired them to a switch on the dash panel.

Fishing the wires through the door and into the dash was the hard part.

The heating elements stick to the back of the mirror glass.

I think someone on the forum years ago bought an aftermarket mirror that had the heater in it, but you still have to run the wiring.

Look in the how-tos somebody added them some time ago. Now you can get heating kits on eBay.
