This is strange as I was looking over tsb numbers I found that there is a problem with Cobalts with this type of problem.

we had a similar problem with the 2005 Equinox
they changed out the key socket.

My mothers 97 Chevy Blazer does that. Its like you gotta sneak up on it to get it out or so my crazy mother says lol. No idea on what causes this. Bring it to the Dealer might as well fix it.
