Live in the midwest area that got hit by the ice storm the other day. It laid down about a 1/3" layer of solid sheet ice on our driveway, which has maybe a 5% grade to it. So I get home from work and the HHR is actually able to claw its way up the drive about 3/4 of the way before all traction is lost, but then I had a running start which helped. So I park it there, put it in Park (auto trans), set brake, go inside.

Around 8pm I go out to check for new ice accumulation on the HHR since more freezing rain was coming down. To my surprise the HHR had backslid down the drive about ten feet. This with the trans in park and the parking brake set.

Gotta love midwest winters.

Could have been worse if it hit something!!!! Hopefully that didn't happen.

Or you could be like my neighbor here in So Cal. Nice new shiny SUV, dry clear day, parked on side of street and did not set parking break or something. Came by later and the thing had rolled down our street and part way up the hill and off the road !! I don't even want to know !~!
At least it was the ice factor and no harm to the truck !
