Did something similar with a garbage burn barrel (55 gal). Thru a cap full of gasolene in it and forgot the matches. "i'll be right back" I said. Came back thru the lit match in and Boom, garbage all over the place. Ah when your young and stupid.

Snoopy- Very lucky you weren't over the top of the shredder.. That could have got ugly quick..
Cat Man- That pretty intense. Bet that was a mess..
Ok, my turn, as a kid one winter our gas furnace (I believe) thermocouple went bad. Which would cause the pilot light to go out. I watched my Dad light it a few times, as the part had to be ordered. It went out before Dad got home & being the oldest, I figured I could light it.. What I didn't know was when you hold down this part you better be ready with a match.
I was not ready & when I put the match near the pilot, I remember smelling the natural gas, (BOOM) next thing I knew, I had no eye brows, face fuzz, or the front of my hair,... My Dad was less than impressed..
