IMO the HHR interior is perfect and is roomy....i wanted the leather but didnt want to wait so i took the gray cloth....Im still happy with it....im right at 6ft and weigh 360..so im no small man...in fact im rather fat ....the only thing i dont like is where the seat belt plugs into...being big it pushes into the side of my hip....after 2 weeks of owning my HHR im getting used to it but havea nice bruise there lol.....

I have a question about those woodgrain kits and other kits...i thought about getting the chrome kit....im a chrome man.......I was wondering do these kits come with complete new interior pieces or are these kits "stick on" ?

They are "stick on" but I haven't heard any complaints about them coming loose yet. And all the pics I've seen look sharp. I really want to do this in my ride as well but just don't have the cash for it now.

Bear in mind that while they are "stick on," they are real wood panels and finished nicely. It's not just a decal. If I thought they would make a vehicle look cheap, there is no way I would even consider doing it.

I know there are several tall people who've posted about their interior so here's one coming from a 5'5" guy. I really love the very retro subtle look of the interior, and as far as roominess goes for me it's just great. Being short I don't have the problem of my "Short shifter" being out of reach, and I never even come close to the interior door lock knob when I rest my arm on the lower window frame. No one in the back seat ever complains about leg room, and I don't have a sun roof to comment about head room.

As far as interior color goes, I really like the two tone look with chrome accents. As a member of several car forums I've met many people who personalize their interior by painting various items such as A/C vents, interior trim pieces, etc.. And some of them painted to match the exterior color look pretty good, but many paint these pieces in high contrast colors and to me they look a bit too tacky. But like I alway's say. Your not doing your personal touches to please me...so if your happy with it then so am I. Bottom line here is that we all do our own thing based on what we like as individuals. Sure, we would ALL like some degree of approval and appreciation from others, but with that we must also be willing to accept those that have differing opinions. It's your HHR....do what turns you on!!!

When I bought the Stull grille for mine (before I even got the HHR) I showed it to my wife.....she hated it. She thought it was ugly. But I liked it and after the HHR came home with me I installed it the next day, when I showed it to her after the installation she couldn't beleive it was the same part that was in the box. Now she loves it and thinks it's one of the best things I've done to it so far. CIP: Do what you like and ignore all others...LOL

I'm interested in some close ups as well.
I worry about peeling. Peeling stickers will really diminish any upgrade one attempts.
I'd like to add an aluminum look or Chrome 'cause I cannot get enough of that old school chrome look. But I worry about folding dimples etc with such reflective stickers going on curved surfaces. I'll likely go black carbon fiber or some darker wood. Check here for several different variations. Just scroll down for the examples:

I'm not advocating this seller, but they do have a nice example section if you scroll down. The same car done in eight different schemes.
I find the lighter ones garish. The interior of the example car is similar to the tan in the HHR, so it works well as an example of the differing possibilities available.

Looks pretty nice.

That's the same dask kit I've seen a million times. Not the one yeshua63043 just posted the link to and that I asked JoeR for pics of.
