Still, I posted the link to be helpuful in a different way. That is, to show the effects of different color dash kit stuff used in a tan interior ( except for the HHR photo, I don't know what the other car is). The eight examples in the ebay ad are useful in this manner. They help me realise I'd like a darker kit rather than a lighter one.
I figured this is a recent post, so having more kit info in the thread should not be a bad thing?

I actually just taped off the stripe (making sure the tape was in the groove) and used plenty of newspaper to shield the interior of the car. But I would take the door panels off if I had to do it again. The stripe is not removable, so everything was done in place.

Gosh, decissions decissions.... both kits have pieces that the other doesent. On their sites, www.edashkit.com and www.exoticwoodtrim.com
I wonder if either site would sell "missing" components that the other kit doesen't offer. They both seem to offer the same types of materials to select from.

Sorry about the delay posting this....
I used a 1000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the areas to be painted. Some guys will tell you not to sand plastic. I've been doing this for years....It's okay, just use no less than 1000 grit.
Also, use a 1200 grit betweeen coats. and finish with a clear coat.
