HHR Pet Peeves
On the other hand, I love the fuel filler on the passenger side. I live in NY, but try to fill up in Jersey where fuel is up to .30 per gallon less and there are often gas lines at stations near the state line. Most vehicles have the filler on the driver side and that's the side of the dispenser island where the gas lines are longest. I can almost always simply pull up to the other side of the dispenser island along with the few vehicles that have the filler on the passenger side.
The antenna never really bothered me but I did buy a 2.5" black billet stubby anyway.
The cup holder placement bothers me. If you don't have the armrests up it is hard to get a drink out. I'm not sure where else you could have put them. If I get a 1 liter soda it fits in the single holder in the back of the center console perfectly.
My wife doesn't like the fact that there are no lights in the vanity mirror although there is a slot for them. Don't know wht they didn't just put them in.
My BIGGEST pet peeve however is how thin and soft the clearcoat is on the paint. Scratches very easily.

I guess I'll add my ™ 2 cents. The tone that is emitted from the vuvuzela horn that GM installed on my HHR SS is just sad. It's is almost an embarrassing childish toy-like sound that can't begin to alarm even a child standing in front of the vehicle. This is what happens when people hear it

Mine is really that the door lock in motion cannot be programmed (my other GM vehicles can). For the 5-speed, you need to shut the engine down to have the doors automatically unlock if you stop momentarily to let passengers off. I'm getting used to looking for the door unlock switch (BTW is not intuitive in the HHR) when I stop to let my daughter out when I take her to school, but it would be nice not to have to manually do it every time. Not a showstopper though, just a tiny bit inconvenient.
Mosty of the other little things on the list, I've already changed.. Need a better horn tho too..
