No, someone had a picture of a yellow SS earlier in this thread. It looked great. Makes me want one even more!

No, someone didn't "have a picture" of a yellow SS earlier in the thread.
That was my post and I adjusted the color in photoshop. It was pretty easy. I just went to the hue/saturation dialog box and changed the color from red to yellow. There are no plans for any yellow HHR's at the moment.

Ridiculous, isn't it? This would be so sweet in Corvette Velocity Yellow.

Judging from the brochure, it looks like they are on the horizontal part of the door trim panel, ahead of the power mirror switch. The power door lock button is also a part of the new switch panel.

I don't think anything like that has been released yet. I'm sure all us SS fans are dying to know, I know I am!

Based on the weight though, I bet they're not going to blow away alot of performance cars... But it should be able to walk on a PT Turblow.

heres what GM sent me today:

No plans have been announced to produce an HHR SS. The website “chevyhhr.net” is not maintained by General Motors. Thus, General Motors is not responsible for the content of the website.

Although literature is not available at this time, we have processed a request to receive product information regarding the 2008 HHR. Once this information is available, you should receive it.

The HHR was scheduled to begin production on June 25, 2007. Vehicles generally begin arriving at dealers about 6 to 8 weeks later. Please keep in mind that production dates are preliminary and subject to change. Your preferred Chevrolet dealership is in the best position to advise you of when the 2008 HHR will be available in your area.

The Chevrolet website should be updated with 2008 HHR information on August 28, 2007. We recommend you periodically check for updates on the website listed below.

Once the HHR is available, contact your local dealer to schedule a test drive. If you are not familiar with one in your area, you may locate one at the website below. On the homepage, you will click on the Locate Dealer link.

At Chevrolet, we strive to provide outstanding customer service. If we can be of any further assistance, please email us or call 1-800-950-2438 between the hours of 8:00 am to 11:00 pm Eastern Time, seven days a week. Thank you for contacting Chevrolet.

Sincerely,

The Chevrolet Marketing Team

Standard "form" letter, 06'.

Nothing has been officially introduced yet, so as always, GM admits to nothing

I just got done talking with my salesperson at my local dealer; he's going to call me when they get their first 2008 HHR's in tomorrow or next week so I can come in and comb through the owners manual so we can look for SS references ourselves. They said I can copy whatever I want, so I'll try to post pictures of anything I find (similar to what "Pittsburgh HHR" has already seen for himself).

This is almost worth it's own new thread.
It's sort of saying to everyone... "Now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here... we haven't announced anything yet..."
Then WHY did they let that brochure out?

This is a pic (drawing/illustration) from the owner's manual of the power window and door lock switches for the SS only.
