HHR's at cruz-in and car shows-welcome or not
How have you been recieved at the local shows when you roll in with an HHR?
There is a Fathers Day show that I enter every year with one kind of hot rod or motorcycle, but my HHR is a little more generic than what I usually roll in.

I was just curious on how you other folks have had you HHR rides received at the local events?
I'll let you know how things go Fathers Day..by the way Happy Fathers day to all you Daddy-O's and grand Daddy-O's out there..its the best job on earth!

I would say that some hardcore hot rodders seem to have an attitude towards HHRs but the general public has always welcomed us and asked us many questions about our cars. I know for a fact that we were responsible for several HHR sales over the last 3 years after attending car shows. The people organizing the shows have usually ackowleged us and thanked us for coming. We have also been invited to several shows over the years and have had an HHR class added to the awards also.
I don't consider an HHR a hotrod, SS or not, but that is just my .02.
However, I have been to two car shows that I entered into both with stock vehicles. Once with my 95 Z28 and I won best of show stock. Once with my stock 98 GMC, I didn't win but it was a crowd pleaser for reason I do not know.

I parked next to a friends wagon for the Fathers Day car show.
The serious gear heads ignored it, but the "joe blow" passer by's seemed interested, and wondered what it was. The back seat really threw them for a loop.
