Other than routine maintenance I replaced the master window controls and the dealer replaced to ABS/Traction wiring harnesses (both sides) when the car was 3 and 4 years old. IMO this should have been covered by Chevy as such a major component should go bad that early in its life. Having the same issues again with the harnesses but I refuse to pay another $700 at this stage of its life.
What failed on the harness?

Unless the harness wiring is physically damaged by laying on a hot surface or getting cut, it usually is just a corroded connector at the ABS sensor. Even a cut or burnt wire section can be spliced. The ABS connector is available for a few dollars at rock auto and you can just splice it in with a heat-shrink crimp connector.

That's the bad part about going to a dealer, they are just remove-and-replace-assemblies technicians. A good local shop would replace just the connector or fix the damaged harness section. I rarely go to the dealer for anything (except programming a FOB).

138085 with no issues to speak of, no codes goes down the road nice and tight. I believe my car was fleet maintained when i got it so that probably helped.

holy smokes! is that some kinda record . . . . and if not who has it?

Has it ever been apart? I have a friend that is a numbers guy at Fram he bought a brand new Pontiac Sunbird back in the eighties and switched to full Synthetic in everything after a 3500 mile break in and also changed oil every 3500 miles. Car went to a half a million miles without ever being apart. He also always got lifetime warranty on every consumable item throughout its life. Brakes. exhaust, etc lol . . . Midas Service centers here hated him

The valve cover gasket and front main seal are the only breaks it has ever had. No CEL, runs and drives very well.

Could be. I recall a guy years back that traveled as part of his job, he claimed something like 325k miles at one point. I can't find it though.

From this thread, one claims 399,072, however replaced motor at 245k - post #31, Claim of 555,498 Post #34 nothing to back it up, claim of 412,888 post #157 only posted twice.

I think Old Blue is probably one of the closest, he must be right at 300k miles now. Or really close.

Mine is at 161k. Have not had a chance to get a photo. Until this summer I've hardly spent any money on it. Struts at 60, hubs at just under 100k. Replaced shifter at about 80k. This summer was back brakes, and pretty much every suspension part that could be replaced was, and a new steering rack. Some work I did myself, some I had to have a shop do. Nearly $2k when all was said and done. Still, I can't buy a reliable car for that right now. Next is a new timing chain. I was thinking about selling it last summer then decided to keep it. I'm glad I did. It's my back and forth to work car now and keep the miles off my truck. My wife now has a 2016 Buick Encore.
