A couple I was at my Chevy dealer and they are telling me that the day before they had one in with over 40,000 miles on it. I seem to remember that someone on the forum faded on in with over 400,000 n it to a new HHR.

I'm approaching 100k after buying my 2009 LT a little over 5 years ago at 60k.

Along the way, I've replaced the lower control arms, sway bar bushings, sway bar links, tie-rods and ends, brakes, and both front hubs. Cosmetically, I've replaced the stereo and speakers, painted the alloy wheels black, and covered the seats.

The car is at the shop today getting a transmission flush. I looked at doing it myself but the parts and fluid would have been a fair amount of money and the shop only wanted $190. I like saving money but decided to let the professionals handle this one hoping the tranny is good for another 100k. UPDATE: The tech said that the fluid still had some color and they found no metal in the filter so the tranny is in good shape. :)

I'm debating new plugs and wires. I'm planning to do a seafoam engine cleanout before my next oil change (still researching).

Thanks to all for your advice and mostly your patience with this mechanical novice over the last five years.

2008 LS recently sold w/ 120K or so. It had been a rental. Plain vanilla including the color; pretty sure the only options were electric driver’s seat and disabled remote start.

Trouble with remote door locks from the beginning, as though sticky or inadequate tongue from motors. Warrantee work yielded short term results. All 4 gradually gave it up and I pulled the fuse about 3years ago. Hatch latch was always fine.

One front sway bar link rattled at 30K.

Other sway bar link at about 50K. Sway bar bushings about the same time.

Front brakes and one tie rod end maybe 60K?

Updated the chain tensioner, cured chain noise on startup.

One by one, all 4 speakers failed. (Replaced w aftermarket speakers. Crappy radios ruin speakers, replaced w 2DIN. Retrofitted factory woofer from wreck.)

4 wheel brakes, struts, shocks and the other tie rod end last year.
