General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

How do you think the HHR handles in the snow?

It is the tires as my HHR is a tank. I can and have pushed the snow with the front bumper when it is well over 5 inches or more.

Its all in the tires, I've never driven mine in the snow thanks to the ability to work from home. But I did take Paddy out a bit after the last ice storm to try him on an untreated parking lot, oh boy! With the Michelin Primacy tires I can say that I'd have been in the first ditch I came to, they really don't cut it on ice. Back when I lived up in Erie I had Blizzaks on a Corsica and that critter would go anywhere, but before I put them on, forget it....got stuck, found a ditch, and just generally slid everywhere.

The best feature for the HHR in the snow is the rear window defroster. It keeps your hands warm when pushing from behind on any slight incline.

My 2010 has done great this year in the snow and now the ice that is covering Ohio. If its "just the tires" I'm going to replace them every winter! Awesome!

My '06 has done great so far, but I haven't had any real snow to test it on yet. There were some snowpacked and icy spots this morning, it did just fine.
